Blog Feature

I've been featured over at Own Something Awesome!

Check out the feature post and then go check out her Etsy shop!  She sells these cute little handmade scrubbies.  I've always wished I learned how to crochet, but I am busy keeping up with orders (sadly, not on etsy, but from word of mouth, which is still pretty awesome though).

Friendship really is Magic!

I mean isn't it?  I have some pretty magical friends.  They are so supportive of my shop and have been ordering some neat pieces.  This is the preview of my latest one.  Hot off the...well, still wet!

Deciding on whether or not I want to put these up in the shop too.  What do you think?  Would you buy one of your favorite pony?  (Go to my facebook page to see others in my pony series.)

So excited to be able to put away my brushes for a few days so I can work on some sewing projects.  It is always good to take a break so you don't get bored doing the same thing over and over again.

Where did the time go?

I can't believe it is already January 7th!  The last month went by too quickly!  I was really lucky and was able to go this past weekend on a scrapbooking weekend with "my peeps" at the amazing Groome Inn in Greensboro.  This place is gorgeous and the perfect place for a cozy weekend away with the girls.  If you are visiting the Greensboro area, you should consider staying at this cute little B&B.  And the Inn Keeper and her family are so sweet too.

I got some great progress on my daughter's scrapbook done.  Too bad I'm already to her 4th month and am already to capacity on the album.  It is too hard to not scrapbook every perfect first milestone.
Progress is messy

The Peeps

I was also selected to host a Pull Ups Why Wait - Let's Celebrate! House Party.  It is perfect timing because my 16 month old has been showing interest in keeping her diaper clean and dry.  As I was brainstorming ideas for the party I thought, "Why don't I make some wet bags for all of the guests?".  Perfect!  A quick Pinterest search and I found a great tutorial.  Some websites and blogs made it seem like PLU was pretty affordable.  I went to Hobby Lobby today and plain white was 12.99 a yard!   ::Womp Womp::  I went ahead and got one yard, since I had a 40% off coupon, so I can play with it.  Maybe I can make the bags the most perfect size so that I can make enough for everyone out of one yard....I can dream.  I also got some cute clearance fabric for the outer shell.  I made some fabric bags to use to wrap Christmas gifts this year, so these wet bags will be the next step up because I bought a zipper for them!  My sewing skillz new years resolution is coming along nicely already :)

And I'm still working on smaller items for the Etsy Shop.  I haven't put any of them up yet.  I am not quite happy with the outcome so far.  I need to make a couple more tweeks and practice a bit more (another new year's resolution) before I make them available for purchase.

Pretty exciting things are already happening this year!
